Fonterra Milk in Schools

Room 5 were having a tough time getting their milk cartons folded properly so our two classes met together to do some problem solving. We watched a video to learn about the Fonterra Milk in Schools programme, we found partners to work with and then the children from Room 11 explained each step of the folding process to their buddy. Room 5 children had to listen carefully to follow each step. What a success! All the cartons were folded beautifully in under a minute!!! Great teamwork everyone, brilliant instructing Room 11 and wonderful listening Room 5, tino pai!

Tough Kids

Doing an obstacle course first as individuals and then as teams, our Kakapo students showed just how tough they really are. What a great day full of fun, sweat and good times.

Choir Choir Choir

56 wonderful Welbourn students performed as a part of the New Plymouth Choir Festival in week 8 of Term 3 at the TSB Stadium. Mrs Rudman was so proud of them all! They looked great and really tried hard to learn all the songs. A fun evening!
Special mention to the small group of Ragga Muffins who soldiered on even though their door was opened too soon... (they'll know what that means). Extra practices and hard work - you were amazing! He whetu koutou :)

Here are some images of our plans for the 'potting shed' and some of us looking at the plans and thinking about what we like or could add to the plans. We can't wait for the shed to be transformed.

Waddle Waddle

As a part of our Science Inquiry looking into the Whio (Blue Duck), we went for a walk to look at Mallard's habitats to help us understand what is unique about a Whio's habitat. We were so lucky it was such beautiful weather!
