About the School
Principal  I have been principal at Welbourn for the last seven years. It is a special place to work. ERO in our most recent report acknowledged our children as “well mannered, orally confident and respectful of staff. They interact well with their peers and staff and support each other in the class and in the playground.” ERO noted our teachers “Are capable classroom managers. They value student’s ideas and are positive and affirming”. We enjoy the support of a committed Board of Trustees who ensures our school is well resourced and a place staff and students want to come to work in daily. Parents are interested and involved in all aspects of school life. Our school motto – “Make good choices, Be fair, Care and Share” is a living value that underpins our behaviour expectations and the importance we place on relationships and belonging. As you will see in our charter, Welbourn School provides interesting programmes in all learning areas to meet individual needs with a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy. Board Of Trustees The Board is your elected representatives and is responsible for the governance of the School. At present, the Board consists of five parent representatives, a staff representative and the School Principal. The structure of the Board is that each member assumes an area of responsibility, chairperson, secretary, finance, policy & personnel and property.
